Q. With so many carpet cleaners and
cleaning methods out there, how does one choose?
Debbie: It's difficult because consumers see so many advertisements
offering deal after deal, leaving consumers later to discover
that the quality of the work performed to be sub-standard and
a final invoice double or triple the advertised rate.
Q. What do you mean?
Debbie: As far as the quality of the work, we hear all the time
of carpets remaining wet for days with odors and spots returning
soon after. Carpet cleaned properly should dry quickly and stay
looking great for 12 to 18 months. When it comes to those whole
house specials, when the workers get into your house, you find
out that the advertised price is for only the very basic service
and that you are going to need all these add-on services that
cost significantly more money.
Q. I've had experiences in the past
where once I had my carpets cleaned, they seem to get dirty quicker
and need to be cleaned more often. What causes this?
Debbie: That's very common. With many cleaning methods, soap
and / or chemical residues are often left in the carpet fibers.
This residue attracts dirt like a magnet. This residue must be
completely extracted or your carpets will indeed get dirtier
quicker. We do a double, hot water extraction step to rinse the
carpet fibers thoroughly. Most cleaning companies don't have
the rinse and extraction step which is essential for proper carpet
cleaning.
Q. What cleaning method is best for
carpet?
Debbie: We use a custom multi-step process. We rotary shampoo
the carpets first, even scrubbing those hard-to-reach edges,
corners and stairs with a soft hand brush for a thorough cleaning.
Then we rinse the carpets at least twice with clean hot water
to ensure total shampoo removal.
Q. What kind of equipment do you use?
Debbie: We use a state-of-the-art van mounted and powered cleaning
system which rinses and extracts better than any other equipment
on the market.
